Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition
Our rescue group was formed in December 2007 and is focused on improving the welfare of abandoned animals needing help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on caring for and rehabilitating the animals.
The animals we rescue are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home. For the animal that is truly wild and feral, we release it in a safe and secure location or take it to a sanctuary after it has recovered from its medical treatment.
We often coordinate our efforts with other recognized rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife.

In fact, most jobs working with animals do require some hands-on training at the very least.
This guide will discuss the training and degrees needed for working with animals. Let’s start by discussing some of the more common degrees working with animals might require.
